BRENT TRIMBLE AND COLBY QUICK CROWNED 2024 FASTRAK RACING CHAMPIONS

Richmond, KY - It all came down to the Damn Yankees Weekend at "The Beast of The East" Richmond Raceway located in Richmond, KY, September 20 – 21st, 2024. Two championships to be decided, two champions crowned. When the dust settled, Brent Trimble of Morgantown, WV was crowned the 2024 VP presents Weekend Warrior Racing National Champion and Colby Quick of Salisbury, NC was crowned the 2024 FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance Champion. It was the second championship for both drivers.

The weekend included the $3000 to win Prelude to the Damn Yankees on Friday and the $10,000 to win Damn Yankees scheduled for Saturday. Little did anyone know going into the weekend that the Friday night show would decide the two championships, as Mother Nature decided to bring torrential rains on Saturday night.

Heading in the weekend, 2022 Champion Brent Trimble and 2020 and 2021 Champion, Braeden Dillinger went into the weekend in a statistical tie, with Dillinger holding the tiebreaker in the VP presents Weekend Warrior Racing championship. Trimble would best Dillinger by one position in the feature to take the 2024 championship by one point, his second national championship.

Finishing behind Trimble in the VP presents Weekend Warrior Racing national points were Braeden Dillinger, George Castro, Dave Loudin, Luke Hyre, Chandi Currence, Noah Whited, Troy Shields, Ryan Frazee, and Zak Kimbrew rounding out the top 10.

In the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance battle Colby Quick went into the weekend with a 27-point advantage over Luke Hyre. In the Prelude to the Damn Yankees feature Colby Quick would finish tenth, with Hyre finishing thirteenth, Quick would take home his second consecutive FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance championship.

Finishing behind Quick in the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance points are Luke Hyre, Ronnie Sissney, Noah Whited, Jason Barrett, Braeden Dillinger, Brent Trimble, Dave Loudin, George Castro, and Tommy Bailey.
